Harry Brown is a Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly.〔http://www.nccppr.org/drupal/content/article-ii/legislator-reports/3973/2011-2012-report-for-sen-harry-brown〕 He represents the state's sixth Senate district, which consists of Jones and Onslow counties.
Outside of politics, Brown is an automobile dealer. He first ran for the North Carolina House as a Democrat in 2002, but was unsuccessful.〔(NC Senate Election Checklist - Carolina Journal )〕
